Save Yousef! Urgent Need for Kidney Surgery

Donation protected
Hi all. I've been donating to this family for two years now and need your help! Yousef is the youngest of 4 siblings who have been surviving the genocide for over two years. Since he was very young, Yousef has been suffering from severe consequences of a medical condition that has left him unable to speak. Even before the war, he has been suffering from kidney problems. Like many other families, they are have been displaced for the 10th time, and continue to suffer through starvation, intense bombing and severe mental health issues. You may be wondering—why should I donate to this family?
I will tell you-- there is no reason. The only reason is because I personally have been donating to this family and have developed a deep relationship with them and I am only asking for your support.

I have been fighting for Palestinian Liberation since I was attending UCSB from 2013-2017 and now that the genocide has progressed to such an atrocious degree, I formed a bond with Yousef's older siblings and I pray for them everyday. While God provides and prayer is enough, money provides food, shelter, and medicine for Yousef, his family and his neighbors. Keep in mind that this family not only provides for themselves, but they will always give to those around them. So when you donate, you are donating to this family and also to their neighbors because this is the way of being Palestinian.

I talk with Yousef's older brother almost everyday and we discuss his life before the war. The house he and his family had just finished building, their beautiful garden with orange, lemon and fig trees, the dishes his mom used to cook like maqluba (his favorite meal) and his dreams for his future. We share poetry, stories, exchange photos of our lives... But the genocide is eating him and his family alive

literally.

When we talk, it is not the same because he is tired of holding his dead friends in his arms, of watching his younger brother go hungry everyday and searching for food that costs too much anyway.

I struggle with what to say in return because we are past the two year mark of this genocide where bombs are their normal and blood paints their skies and I have nothing to say except for that I feel ashamed to be living in the very country that is funding his pending murder.

Whatever you can donate is ESSENTIAL.

When I ask my friend for an update in the cost of items in the market, he pleads with me. "Please help me spread the campaign, you are my only hope to buy food and keep my family alive."

Their economy has been shredded from the inside out. The aid is waiting in tons at the borders. The resources that are available are priced at ridiculous amounts and there is not even any sort of economy where they can make money to purchase any items which is why the market is so highly priced. For example:
- Flour cost $1,000
- Oil for cooking costs $50
- Chicken is $300

I don't have enough money to help this family on my own, so I'm begging you to help me keep this family alive and donate to this campaign.

THANK YOU ALL.
