Hey everyone! Xan is a 4 year old tuxedo cat, we’ve had him his entire life and up until now he’s never had any health issues. Mid July he wasn’t peeing and we noticed him crying when he tried to urinate and he tried peeing on the floor which he had never done before. It was 3am and we had to rush him to the emergency vet hospital. Once there they drained his bladder and told us if we hadn’t caught it and waited any longer he would’ve died. He had to be admitted and was there for 3 days with a catheter in him for 36hrs to pass a blockage that had built up. He will need to be on a medicated diet for the rest of his life which costs about $300 a month:( he also has crystals and blood clots in his bladder that need to be removed. Once what’s in his bladder is fully removed he should be good to go as he has already started the diet to prevent more debris build up! Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, he is in a lot of pain and on gabapentin to prevent his stress from making it worse and to make it easier for him to urinate. Unfortunately if we cannot raise the amount needed in time we will have to go the route of euthanasia as we don’t see a point in putting him through torture just to not have our hearts broken from the loss. We tried care credit, scratch pay etc. and were denied for all of them as we just paid $3000 for his hospital stay on my credit card. This is our last resort. I am posting photos of the hospital stay bill along with his diagnostic paperwork and prescription to be as transparent as possible!!! Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated!!!
