Save Winter’s Life

Winter needs your help! She is suffering from Pyometra, a painful infection in the uterus. It is a serious and life threatening condition that must be treated promptly and aggressively with surgery to remove her uterus, a far more invasive surgery than the common spay. The prognosis is very good if the surgery is performed.

Her owner, Kim Leasure is my neighbor, who is an elderly widow of a Veteran on a fixed income. She doesn’t have enough money for all of the surgery. Kim Leasure has a heart of Gold, who helps anyone when she can. Winter is Kim’s companion, helping her through the loss of her husband, she doesn’t know what she would do if she lost Winter to a painful death because she lacks the funds to help her.

I am helping her navigate through this trying time. We found a vet who will do the surgery. Unfortunately it’s an expensive surgery that can range up to $9000 depending on how bad her uterus is once the surgery has begun.
