Please help me keep my home. My name is George and I am a wood duck.
I live around a beautiful pond that has a stream running through it; surrounded by tall trees and wetlands and meadows. My family is safe, even though I am living in the middle of an urban city full of asphalt and concrete. I have a 15-acre neighborhood and I have many friends who live here too.
Like Leonardo, my little turtle friend....
and Henrietta, the Great Blue Heron...
Here is a photograph of my home. I want to keep it.
But we are all going to lose our homes to development - concrete and asphalt, and insecticides and clear cut fields - if you won't help us.
The Norwalk Land Trust is raising $500,000 to finish the down payment on this 15-acre property in Norwalk, CT.
Deadline: December 31, 2018. It's expensive, but this property, home to so many, is really worth it. Please save this woodland, wetland, and meadow for me and my friends.
