Hello uncles and aunties! My name is Whiskey. I’m a loving 8 months old domestic shorthair orange tabby. My brother and I were adopted by our loving parents since February of 2026.
Whiskey has developed a URI ever since we adopted her. She was treated with antibiotics and oral meds for about 2 weeks. She then started feeling better and gained her energy for a few weeks. Then she started drooling constantly off and on. Just this past week the amount of her drool is excessive that includes some vomiting every now and then. We had to rush her to the local vet ER 2 days ago due to an extreme drooling and vomiting. She was transferred to a hospital in the city for an IV and further diagnostics. The vet is assuming it is a liver shunt she’s dealing with. She’ll need a CT scan and possibly a surgery that the vet quoted us for $10000-$15000 for just the surgery alone. The CT scan can range roughly from $2000-3500. We’ve paid a few vet bills on the previous visit when she has first started her drooping. We’re quite overwhelmed and stressed these bigger bills to come.
We love her dearly. She’s only 8 months old. We want her to be with us for many years to come. We’re so determined to get her the treatment she needs. Whatever it takes to treat her.
Any help from our fellow cat moms and dads would mean the world to us as we’re going through a stressful time dealing with high vet bills and her illness.
We would like to thank everyone for taking the time to be here and we truly appreciate your generous fund for Whiskey.
