Whale of a Wash has been serving the South Bay communities for the past 40 years! We have enjoyed helping our customers with their laundry needs as well as collecting their mail. Whale of a Wash has become a family. Rob loves his customers and catching up with them daily. Since the Covid-19 outbreak Rob had to make a very tough decision to let go all employees and are currently running daily operations and deliveries between family members without taking a pay check. With an extremely high rent and dry cleaning and fluff and fold down by 90% we are struggling to keep the lights on at Whale. Rob has taken many personal hits by keeping the doors open in order to continue to serve the Manhattan Beach community. We are now asking the MB and greater South Bay communities for your assistance enabling Rob to help pay rent etc. As of December 11, 2020 we have been given an eviction notice. Our landlords are demanding $88,000 in three days or Whale of a Wash will be evicted. It is a sad world we live in now, not only with the restrictions effecting our personal lives but also effecting the hopes of small businesses such as Rob’s. Five years ago when Rob bought Whale of a Wash we could never have foreseen this situation. It is with great sadness that we have had to ask for additional help. We appreciate the communities kindness and assistance.
