UPDATE: The Planning Board recently ignored legal objections to the project in documents submitted by an attorney, and issued full approvals, opening itself up to an Article 78 lawsuit. The woods next to the Bird Sanctuary Trail on 250 are slated to be clearcut for development, but you can STILL help protect them. RESIDENTS NOW NEED TO RAISE FURTHER FUNDS TO TAKE THE PLANNING BOARD TO COURT.
Protecting the Bird Sanctuary Woods will set a hugely important precedent for future development in Webster and preserve the quality of life for all Webster residents and those using the Bird Sanctuary Trail.
As it stands, the current site plan does not adequately fulfill key items* in the Webster Town Code. Residents have hired a lawyer to ensure the Developer (and now our own Planning Board!) is held accountable to the Code and that the Site Plan is either redone to lawfully preserve habitat or the project is disallowed entirely.
Please, help us keep Webster a place Where Life is Worth Living-- once it's gone, it's gone forever.
