Save Watt's Travel Business in Laos

Travel Laos by Car Covid-19 has thrown the tourism industry into difficult times around the world.

My wife and I were recently in Laos (March 2020) and met a fabulous tour guide/driver

Watt (Bounsavawat). He has a wife (registered nurse) and 2 small children.

He is a college graduate with a degree in Tourism, has a great knowledge of his country. He started working in the tourism industry while he was in high school and has worked his way up from kitchen help to owning his own business. 8 years ago he purchased a 12 passenger bus from his uncle and started his own tourist business offering transportation and his extensive local knowledge. After 6 years and many 100k’s of kilometers he had enough money for a down payment on a 2018 Toyota  Hiace Van.

His last trip in 2020 was March, and on March 26th the country was closed and all tourism stopped. Fortunately, he had saved enough money to pay his payments through December of 2020. He now owes $12000 and unless he can come up with the money he will be forced to sell his car and give up his business. He desperately needs to raise enough money to keep the van so that when the country reopens so he can continue with his business. Please help me to help him.
