Save Waffles: Urgent FIP Treatment Needed
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Bradley. My cat Waffles was just diagnosed with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). The vet said there is a successful treatment available but it is about $1,000 a month for 3 months. I work as a vision therapist and cannot afford to spend $3000 even though it's to save Waffles. There is a new anti-viral (in the US) that has had success here and globally and the vet expects it to work for Waffles. If I cannot seek treatment, the vet recommended to put her to sleep sooner rather than later due to this illness causing fluid to continue to build up in her abdomen until she cannot walk or breathe. Waffles is such a good kitty and is only about 6 years old. She follows us like a puppy and loves to love, snuggle, eat, watch birds, and just be an overall great cat. Waffles is currently on medicine for pain and to try to calm her body down but the vet said I need to try to make a decision by next week for Waffles' sake due to the extent of her swelling. Please help us with anything. I really don't want to lose Waffles because of money and I cannot afford this treatment on my own. Waffles doesn't deserve to go out like that. Thank you for any and everything...
