Violet, my wonderful 7 year old dog, pulled a stupid and has been sick for the past week, and has a foreign body obstruction. I have already spent $1400 on imaging and emetics, unsuccessfully attempting to fix her issue already this week, but I fear a surgical option is necessary. Needless to say, it is expensive, and despite doing what is possible to reduce costs, the payment required is more than I can finance myself, and I cannot get approved for a loan on my own. Sadly, without this, I fear we will have to explore comfort care and ultimately euthinization.
For those of you that know me, I live for this dog. She has been my rock when my life flipped, and has been the driving force in keeping me on a healthy path. While I've grown beyond her being my sole reason for living, I am not ready to give her up without trying everything I can do to avoid the worst case scenario for my best friend.
Surgery has been quoted anywhere from $3000-$7000+ dollars, depending on multiple factors. Without funding, there isn't a place willing to perform the surgery, nor can I get a payment plan to try and spread the payment out. She is on a timer, and I have no other savings, so this is my last chance to try and save my baby girl.
