As the LAST VIDEO STORE in Oakland CA, we rent and sell DVDs, Blu-rays and the newest video format 4-Ks.

We are behind on our Rent and Sales Tax.  And since we were considered a non-essential business (not for our customers), we had ZERO income during this pandemic.  This triple whammy will be our undoing.  We have since reopened in mid-May for curbside business with limited income.

With over 37 years in business, we have accumulated a huge library of over 35,000 titles for rental.  We have an excellent selection of Film Noir, Classic, Foreign, Mystery, Horror, Science Fiction, War, Western, Comedy, Drama, Documentary, Cult, Musical, TV, Family and Superhero movies.

We are a small business serving our local community with video rentals for hard-to-find Classics as well as the latest New Releases.  Our revenues have been on the decline over the last several years as many of our customers have switched to the internet for their movie entertainment. Our loyal customers are mostly Seniors and Movie Buffs.  We are a HAVEN for MOVIE LOVERS of all ages.

So, we need your help to help us raise $20,000 to stem short term losses.  In order to lower our rental expense, we have just moved the store to a less expensive location within our neighborhood.  We will need an additional $15,000 to remodel the new space.

There are many ways to support us:

·       You can stop supporting Netflix, Redbox and BIG Streaming Conglomerates and rent from us whenever possible

·       You can rent movies at our store for $6

·       You can buy a block of 10 prepaid movie rentals for $50 even if you don’t use them

·       You can buy a $50 gift certificate for a friend who will use them

·       You can donate and give us your Tired, Poor, Huddled Masses of DVDs to our store, so we can resell them. 

·       You can buy our used DVDs and Blu-rays as well as our Vinyl LPs

·       You can tell a friend about our store. 

·       Then again, if you are Colin Trevorrow, you can make a large donation!
