My sweet dog Tyson is currently in critical condition after suffering from heat stroke. He’s being kept overnight at the emergency vet, and while the doctors are doing everything they can, they’re still unsure of the outcome.

First and foremost, I want to say this was a freak accident. He was not intentionally left outside or in a hot car this wasn’t neglect, just a tragic, unexpected situation that unfolded way too fast. I’ve been sick with guilt and heartbreak, but I’m doing everything in my power to save him.

My dogs were my babies before I ever had a child. They are my family. There is no price tag on their life or love, but the reality is the vet bills are adding up fast. The estimated cost of care is between $4,000 and $7,000, depending on how long he needs treatment. I’ve been offered a payment plan, but I’m still facing a huge financial burden.
