Support TYGAPAW thru financial hardship during work on album

Hi, many of you might be familiar with my work as TYGAPAW. I’ve unfortunately experienced a number of set backs since the pandemic, and have been working non stop to keep my head above water. I’ve had to finance my techno opera during my one year residency with ISSUE PROJECT ROOM in 2022, which significantly depleted my finances leading up to this year. Not to mention money that I lost last year on tour in Australia due to getting COVID there and not being well enough to complete the tour. I’ve been playing catch up since. I had hopes with the anticipation of a new album release earlier this year that I would be able to tour and earn enough money to pay off my rent balance and get back on my feet, but unfortunately that has not been the case. There has been a number of set backs this year, and money has been lost in mismanagement of US bookings. Due to the timing of my citizenship naturalization ceremony, I had to cancel tour dates in July until I was able to get my US passport following the ceremony in late July. This has overall left me with earning significantly less money this year, and unable to pay off what I owe in back rent.

I’ve had to recently switch management and things are looking up for the future, but things have taken a turn for the worst and have just found out that the management company that owns my building has begun filing eviction process with the court. I’m not left with many options at this moment, and the tour I have in October will not cover what I owe in full. I’m asking my supporters and community that have the means to help prevent me from losing my home that I’ve lived in for 8 years and the sanctuary where I’ve created all of my published music to date. And to help me get back on my feet so I can continue to make powerful and impactful art.
