Mark and Nibby's family lost their house and significant farm business infrastructure to the CZU Fire Complex on August 19, 2020.
Please help raise the money needed to help this beloved farm family get back on their feet, rebuild their farm business, and continue selling this season after devastating fire loss. This campaign has been organized by customers who want to help, led by Sherry Gendelman.
We've learned that among their immediate needs are a cooler and storage, tools, fertilizer, seed, rebuilding their family home and other structures on their property. They also estimate at least $5,000 in personnel expenses to remain in operation. Donations will be used only to support Two Dog Farm's recovery efforts due to fire damage.
On August 23, 2020, Mark and Nibby shared the following update with their customers:
"Due to the unprecedented and destructive nature of the current CZU Fire Complex forest fires in Santa Cruz County, Two Dog Farms will be experiencing some delays in business in the immediate future. The fires have directly impacted our farm fields and even claimed our home.
"We are working around the clock and communicating with CalFire and neighbors to coordinate resuming tomato harvests as soon as possible. Please check Facebook, Instagram, and Two Dog Farm's website www.twodogfarm.biz for further updates as we navigate these trying times.
"Thank you for your understanding and patience, and stay safe!"
