Save Twinky The Sick Kitten To Get Treatment
Donation protected
(Update: (pictures below) We are devastated to report that Twinky has sadly passed over that Rainbow bridge, right before her vet appointment. Pumpkin made it to his appointments, Rain and Daisy took, but Twinky didn't make it long enough and passed just before. We are so beyond heartbroken, we have no words. Even though she was a stray, we saw her every morning, and she was getting closer and closer to being tamed. Our rescues are like family, we love them so much and pour hours, days, weeks and months into caring for them. This is a huge loss. We are the only lost/stray/feral rescue in our area, I pay out of pocket for all vet bills, food, supplies, so you all said to get a GoFundMe, so we did! We were so certain that we would get her to the vet and she would be fine. She got sick so fast, and declined so quickly. Any funds raised ( current or future) have gone towards vet bills, and will go towards vet bills, food, supplies the other rescues, and getting the spay/feral cats spayed/neutered. We also believe that if Twinkie had stayed warm she may have faired better, and while she is a stray kitten we were working to try to tame, and we had a little makeshift warming kitty house, another mean cat kept chasing them all out. So in honor of Twinky's memory, any overage of donations above caring for the rescues, we will put towards building Twinky's Biscuit Bakery, a set of simple winter warming houses for the outside stray kittens and cats we are working to tame. Thank you to everyone who donated, she was so close to getting into the vet. It hurts to think about losing her, but she will be honored and remembered through this rescue forever as we continue rescuing her siblings, and other kittens, cats, puppies and dogs, and other animals that are cold, starving on the streets and desperately need a second chance. ))
TWINKY'S STORY: This is Twinky. This poor girl and her siblings where abandoned by their mom here a few months ago. She is so extremely sweet, but her health has declined fast, and she desperately needs your help.
A few days ago the temperature dropped to 19° F unexpectedly, since then it's even colder every night. She is a Feral kitten so she can't come inside but we built the kittens a small winter shelter with a heater. A mean cat keeps chasing them out. That night she became Ill, the next day she became extremely swollen under her chin and was barely eating. We set up a vet appointment, but they were booked out a ways so we got the soonest we could. We tried to spray medicine on it, but she isn't able to be held, so we did what we could before she ran. We gave her healthy immune boosting foods and probiotics in her nutrient rich wet food. She'd eat very small amounts but refused most food. Yesterday she completely ignored ALL food for 24 hours. Dry food, wet food, even sardines and her favorite treats. This afternoon we received new wet food from an amazing company and she luckily ate a bit of it. We had good hope.
She doesn't have much energy and has been sleeping all day.
We looked into it and she has swollen lymph nodes. This can result in needing antibiotics, anti fungal, ect and possibly surgery. It has gotten to the point she's constantly leaning her head to one side. She needs veterinary care.
Please consider helping this girl. She is so sweet and just wants to be as healthy as any other kitty. She was so close to being tame enough to find a forever home. You can help this become true, the sooner she gets to the vet and healthy, the sooner she can be tame and find a home.
If we happen to make above of the goal it will go straight towards all of our other rescues food, medicine, ect. Any and all money helps even if we make above the goal!
Update: Unfortunately our kind soul Twinky has passed. We are devastated. She passed away the morning of her vet appointment. It came on fast, we had the vet appointment set for early morning, she didn't make it. We miss her so much and our days just aren't the same without her. Even though she was a stray, this little sweetie held our hearts, we consider all animals family. We know she's still here in spirit. We love her so much and we're so sad she didn't make it.
-->If you'd like, You can still donate to Twinky's GoFundMe to help her siblings and all of our rescue animals, but don't feel obligated. Prices are going up, vet bills are expensive but your donations have already saved the life of Pumpkin and Daisy, and I pay out of pocket for everything and am not rich, so this helps to offset that cost. The money goes towards them, and since the cold weather got through our kitty house, we have a plan to make Twinkies Biscuit Bakeries, a set of Kitty Winter Warming houses that are insulated and heated, so no kitty catches a cold from cold nights again. Twinkie loved making biscuits, playing with her siblings including STARMIE, and zooming up trees. You can see her videos in our reels. Let her memory live on by donating to take care of her siblings and our other rescue cats and animals. In her honor the donations we receive ( thank you so much) will go towards all of our other rescues and ferals. As well as saving up to make a big winter shelter for all her feral kitty friends. The money will help dozens of cats, dogs, and animals in need. Let's make a difference this Holiday season. For Twinky!
