Twin Lakes is a small community located south of Crescent, OK on the Cimarron River. There is a chapel, swimming pool, club house and volunteer fire department.
ALL OF THIS IS ENDANGERED NOW!
During the most recent flooding event we lost 10 homes and several families were displaced. Our historic and irreplaceable community is being destroyed at an unprecedented rate. We have exhaustively explored many different options over the last several years, all of which are extremely costly. We have been unsuccessful at gaining any funding from outside entities, so we are starting to raise funds at this time.
The system that will best remedy our predicament is called Palisades River System.
In addition to saving money and fund raising efforts we have been doing, we are still short.
The Total Project is at a minimum going to cost around $650,000 and we have saved over time $250,000, so we are starting to fund raise the rest. It will be vital to get this River System in by November.
