Save Tucker: Help Fund His Life-Saving Surgery

Hi, everyone. My name is Jaxon McClure, and I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for your help saving our dog, Tucker!

Tucker is a 1-year-old Goldendoodle who has already been through more than any dog should. He came from a tough start, lacking the love, care, and stability that every animal deserves. When we rescued him, we promised to give him a better life. But now he’s facing the biggest battle yet…

Recently, Tucker began showing signs of severe illness: vomiting, confusion, lethargy, seizures, and a complete loss of appetite. After a numerous vet visits, bloodwork, and imaging, the doctors now suspect he has a congenital liver condition called Portosystemic Shunt (PSS). This is a serious condition where his blood bypasses the liver, causing dangerous toxins to build up in his body and brain. And if it is somehow not PSS, it could be worse. 

We’ve been advised to take him to the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where specialists can perform the life-saving surgery. Without it, his condition will continue to worsen. With it, he has a strong chance to live a full, happy, and healthy life — one we’ve always dreamed of giving him.

We are aiming to raise $10,000 to cover the cost of:

• Specialized diagnostic testing

• Surgery to repair the liver shunt

• Post-operative care and medications

We’re doing everything we can to give him a real chance.
