Save Trans Woman from Bankruptcy

"Hi! My name is Shannon, and I am a 23-year-old trans woman, currently living in the mid-western United States.

I'm here on GoFundMe because I've hit a pretty big roadblock in my life, and could really use some help. I've been struggling with mental illness since grade school, currently, I suffer from treatment-resistant clinical depression, both social and generalized anxiety disorders and PTSD.

Trying to live independently under these conditions has been a massive challenge, and during the last couple of years, I have struggled to maintain employment. Chronic panic attacks have usually been the cause of this, but being out as a transgender person in today's social climate hasn't.. helped either. In short, I have accrued crippling debt from a variety of sources as I struggle to keep a roof over my head and keep myself fed.

Money raised from this campaign will directly contribute to eliminating this debt, and allow me to get my life to where I want it to be. I fully intend to move in with my long-time partner, who lives nearly 1,000 miles away, and get a fresh start in a new community that I hope will be more accommodating.

Relocating also has its fair share of costs, and any additional funds raised will directly contribute to making the move as smooth as possible.

If you'll indulge me, I want to share an example of why Shannon's an exceptional human being. Sometime last year, I noticed a US-Target campaign with some DELIGHTFUL designs, and lamented to my general group of friends about being in Australia, unable to grab a single thing.
