It’s been a great two years.
We opened Tradroom, our family-owned restaurant located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn in May of 2018. Since then, we’ve been pouring our hearts, minds, and bodies into this space to make it as positive and prosperous a place as possible for all the amazing, welcoming members of our community.
We’ve been consistently surprised by how supportive and genuine everyone has been. From the anniversaries to the first dates, the family dinners to birthday parties. And when Covid-19 very first started and some of you were working remotely, you worked in our space and ordered coffee, until that too had to be put on hold.
We love what we’ve built here and we aren’t going anywhere without a fight, but we are definitely facing hard times—not just because of Covid-19, but because of the bureaucratic hoops and mazes we’ve had to navigate to try to get a liquor license (still working on it, fingers crossed!). We’ve continued to provide delivery and take-out service during this time, but there’s no way of getting around how challenging it has been to stay afloat using this alone.
If you have dined with us in the past, or just want to show support, we greatly appreciate any financial help you feel like sharing with us during this time. 100% of everything received will be put towards employee payroll, necessary construction costs, and the last steps necessary to get the liquor license sorted out. If you are in the neighborhood and you want to show support another way, you can always feel free to order delivery or stop by for takeout instead!
It’s hard to ask for help, but it’s also hard to receive any if nobody knows you need it. Thank you to everyone for making everything possible until now, and here’s to many more years in the neighborhood!
