Help Save Tracy's Heart

I would like to introduce you to my friend Tracy. She was born with a rare congenital heart defect called Ebstein's Anomaly, requiring her to have open heart surgery when she was just 2 years old. Fortunately the surgery was successful and she was able to live without many restrictions up until 2013 when she was diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia. When they were treating her, doctors also found out that her defect was much worse and required immediate surgery. Tracy endured 2 separate open heart surgeries in August 2013, where they replaced her tricuspid valve with an artificial one, cut off the enlarged portion of the right side of her heart and redirected her blood flow, added a Glenn shunt into her neck, performed the MAZE procedure for her arrhythmia and put in a pacemaker. Since then she has fought to get healthy and back to work again. In 2015, she was able to start working part time back at the City of Victorville. This is when I met Tracy. We began working together and formed a strong bond where she would help teach and mentor me in marketing and I would help her with the physical things she was unable to do. I watched her ups and downs attempting to build her strength and tolerance, grateful for the good days and fighting through the setbacks. Unfortunately in December 2016 her condition deteriorated and she had to be taken off of work permanently by her doctors. While I was broken hearted to not be able to work with her, I knew she was even more devastated. Since then, her financial situation has made things even worse. She's been denied disability because she was not full time, denied SSI because she worked for a local government, has to wait 6 months to get any disability retirement and has no way to pay for her medications, health insurance or continued care that's required. I set up this fund to help her with medical expenses so she can have the best quality of life possible. I know she would be profoundly grateful for any and all help you can give.
