Save Toto the cat and help fund his emergency surgery
Donation protected
Toto, our loving sweet boy, was welcomed into our home two years ago after being abandoned and neglected by his previous owner.
Toto is an angel of a cat, he’s incredibly affectionate and loves to snuggle. He has a younger brother, Moriarty, who was adopted a few months after him. They are inseparable.
Toto escaped from home, and a few hours later we found him at the side of the street, with blood gushing from his eyes, nose, and mouth. His face was disfigured, both eyes injured, and his jaw had come loose.
We rushed him to the emergency vet, where they told us that he had several jaw fractures, a potential skull fracture, displaced eyeball that could result in blindness, and heavy internal bleeding into his lungs.
Our family was devastated. We still do not know what happened to our little Toto. The vet said that he may have fallen from a height, been struck by a car, or had his injuries inflicted on him in some other way. We cannot even begin to understand how someone could do this to our baby, and how he laid there helpless.
The diagnostic and hospitalization alone cost $6 000, and the surgery he needs to have to be able to eat independently will cost an additional $10 000. Right now Toto is unable to eat, breathe properly, clean himself, and see from one eye.
Please help us give Toto the treatment he needs to live. We have already drained our savings to afford the hospitalization, diagnosis, and part of the surgery. We are two students working overtime to try to afford these costs, but it is just overwhelming. These funds would go towards his surgery, which would be life-saving for Toto. Anything helps, and we truly truly appreciate ANYTHING. We cannot imagine a life without our Toto, and we know that his brother Moriarty would be heartbroken too.
Thank you so much,
Emma and Ivy (two sisters)
