My name is Todd Bush and I am a NYC freelance hairdresser living paycheck to paycheck in this epicenter of the Coronavirus . In my job no work = no pay. Not a penny. This pandemic has made it legally impossible for me to take clients in order to pay my rent/bills. This nonprofit campaign is to help me keep my life afloat until whatever time I can begin to work and earn again. Having not been able to work in over almost three month, I am already far behind in rent and bills with debt steadily rising. I have no savings, no friends or family to lean on financially and no other means of earning an income while in this nightmare predicament.
New York State has stopped evictions until August 20th, which is incredibly generous on and very necessary. However, there is the stark reality that when that time is up, the accumulated months of rent will be expected in full. With zero income this raises the likelihood I will lose my apartment and become homeless in NYC.
This is a double campaign meaning that anything raised over and above the monetary requirements to keep my life intact during this crisis will be donated to Feeding America . Feeding America is a United States–based nonprofit organization that funds more than 200 food banks feeding more than 48 million people.
With such immediate urgency all monies will be dispersed asap upon receipt. Anything you might be able to give will be allocated responsibly and with much gratitude.
