Toby now has a fight on his hands, for the use of his back left leg and both of his patelas, left damaged from the attack in Miami. Toby suffered another unexpected brutal attack. A neighboring dog bit down hard, viciously shook him like a ragdoll, leaving him in need of immediate emergency surgery. He and his mother Alana live an adventurous life and he is a therapy dog to the elderly, so he needs this leg to have immediate surgery. A pain-free life depends on helping him and his mom, Alana, secure the funds they need to make this happen now.

Alana, drained her savings to do everything she could to save her little love Toby, because his life means everything to her.

Meet Toby:

Toby is a small dog with a heart full of courage and a spirit that refuses to be broken. His story began on the rough streets of Baja, Mexico, where he survived not one, not two, but three brutal dog attacks that left him clinging to life; he also almost died of tick fever. Despite these horrible experiences, Toby beat the odds and was miraculously brought back from death’s door.

Alana has spent the last few years dedicating her life to animals, volunteering her time, energy, and resources without asking for anything in return. She has supported countless national and international animal rescue efforts and continues to help her community by reuniting lost pets with their owners. Now, Alana faces financial hardship and needs our support to give Toby the life he deserves.

THEIR LOVE STORY

A New Beginning:

In August 2022, fate intervened when Alana, a dedicated animal lover and volunteer at Cortez Rescue in Los Barriles, Mexico, met Toby. It was love at first sight, and she knew she had found her soulmate. Soulmates mean something different to Alana as she lost her human soulmate after 15 days of marriage in 2009 in a tragic accident. She received loving care from her family and friends but no monetary, she went back to work after 2 weeks.

In 2021, Toby and Alana embarked on a new chapter, and later that year moved to Miami to explore a new start in life, full of hope.
