Hi my name is Julia Rodriguez and my son, Efrain Zayas, who we call “Tito”, was born on September 27, 1979 and at six months old, doctors diagnosed him with a severe heart condition. He needed an immediate surgery, and we were told he had only one day to live if he didn't go to Houston for the operation. We were able to go to Houston, and he was able to receive the surgery he needed. It was a success but it came with a catch. The doctors warned us that he'd likely need another heart operation in the future, a day that we've dreaded for years.

Now, at 45, that day has arrived. Tito is now in need of another urgent Aorta surgery because if he doesn’t get one and suffers from another heart episode, it could be fatal.
