Spoofy was only a few weeks old when we found her. Tiny, shivering, and completely terrified and feral, we took her in. Eventually, we had her spayed, got her shots, all while she was so small and so terrified of everything and everyone. Over time, she grew to trust me, and my husband, and even various roommates through the years. She only weighs 7 pounds, a sparse eater and private about it too. But she loves us. And we love her.
Every night for the past 7 years, shes laid on my hip as I fall asleep. For auch a small cat, she has such a loud, distinct voice. And today, we found that she may have cancer. Theres a mass on the under side of her tongue, making it hard to eat and drink water. The vet we went to today helped us, and found us a vet in town (Lubbock Tx) that will remove the mass for $400. Getting the mass tested for cancer is another $170-$200, and unfortunately, due to some recent troubles, we do not have the money for the surgery.
Her surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, and we are hoping to have a minimum of $400 raised by that date. A maximum of $600 would be appreciated.
Spoofy is tiny, full of personality, and very sweet. Any help you can afford to help her through this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
