HELP!!! PLEASE SAVE TINO
This is my baby boy. He's a little over 9 years old. I've had him since he was a puppy and went to the local shelter, Wayside Waifs, to get him. The best decision ever. When my husband died from COVID in 2020, Tino, short for Valentino, was my constant companion who has brought me nothing but joy and peace of mind. He's a couch potato and very chill.
Unfortunately, he jumped off the porch and injured his hind leg. He's unable to put the foot down, and I will get x-rays next week, which is another financial expense that I will have to struggle to pay. His vet was able to give me a few pills to help him until next week.
I'm scared and anxious because I would never want to put down my animal or any other animal because of an injury they have and I can't afford to have it treated. Particularly an injury that, if treated, could add years to his life.
I'm sleeping on the floor with him to comfort us both. I love him dearly and as I worry about him, tears well up in me. Please help me!
I'm sad and disgusted to think that many have had to put down their animals because of inflation and a decision had to be made between keeping a roof over your head, food in your belly, and gas in your car to get to work.
Tino is such an affectionate dog. He doesn't deserve this. I'm disappointed that we are in this predicament. My heart aches everytime I think of the pain he feels. I do have inflammatory and pain medication, but I'm in agony, I can't sleep, or eat because I'm scared.
Once I'm on my feet again, I will try my best to pay it forward. I never thought I would be in this situation, but things can change in an instant. All funds will be strictly used to cover surgery and after care. A little goes a long way.
I am grateful to all who donate and the kindness and compassion shown to me and Tino.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you
