A warm thank you, to those who found it in their heart to help my boy. Every cent went toward making sure Tigger had medicine, special food, and -of course- treats for being so brave. The road to recovery will be slow, but he is so special and I know we can get better soon!
Sometimes, you just can't catch a break.
Repeatedly.
This fundraiser is for sweet Tigger boy, a newly turned 9 year old tabby who loves napping in the sun, morning treats and snuggles with mom, at any time!
Tigger sprained his wrist 2 years ago, and was very brave taking his medicine and recovered well. Flash forward to this year, Tigger sprained his wrist again- this time, it is his other wrist!
I wish I could say this ended poor Tigger's strife; he recently injured his tail, and there is a very real risk he could lose it...
Tigger's poor mama tries to take very good care of him (he has all his shots, a running water fountain, two different kinds of kibble to choose from and gets a special bowl of wet food every night to keep kidney disease away,) but veterinary care does not work like people care and veterinarians have to charge up front to stay running. (Completely understandable, but can put pet parents already struggling in tight spots.)
Most people who know Tigger's mom, Bella, know it is very hard for them to ask for help.
I understand that asking for money -especially in today's climate- is "just what everyone is doing," but there is now a time limit that I can't stave off by cutting into my budget to push it off just a day more.
Tigger is going for an emergency appointment tomorrow, and if his tail is truly 'dead' then it may have to be removed-within a week.
I know the amount looks high, but it is only because I am doing rough estimates based on past visits (my mom always said it was better to over shoot by a little than to under shoot by a ton.) I should be able to scrap enough money for his initial appointment ($70 ish) but he will need an exam ($80), an X-ray (at least $230), medicine ($20)- and that is only a base guess on my most positive outcome. He may need more painkillers, they may have to sedate him, they may have to amputate- I'm sure you can see how the anxious avalanche can and WILL get me if I stop moving.
I've had this little monster for almost 10 years- 3 houses, 3 relationships, 3 injuries.
Any amount would be gracious. I also please ask if ( you're willing ) to help share and spread the word- I need help helping my boy.
