Hi, my name is Masyn, a full-time student and animal lover, having recently rescued a fragile and weakly kitten I named Thor.

Thor was found in a semi-feral colony of very sick cats. He was 1 of over 30 struggling kittens barely surviving. At just 6–7 weeks old, he had already been rejected by his mother. What little comfort he had came from huddling with his littermates in a losing fight against a wave of illness. He was in such a critical condition: congested, underweight, dehydrated, and with swollen eyes almost shut due to infection. I am nursing Thor all day and all night long, but he urgently needs to be taken to a professional vet, and I cannot afford to do it alone.

Thor is more than just any stray kitten; he has spirit. He had barely breathed; he had barely seen; he had barely made it because of parasites. With help from the Humane Society’s generosity and care from my family and me, Thor began to fight his way back. His eyes have mostly cleared—though his right pupil remains cloudy and may never fully recover. He’s currently on liquid amoxicillin (0.5 mg twice daily) and eyedrops. He’s alert, playful, and loud with personality despite everything. He finds the energy to purr when you pick him up and try to play with him. Every day, for such a tiny body, he clings on with phenomenal strength; but the longer he is left without a vet, the more rapidly he may decline.

He’s not out of the woods. Thor continues to suffer from severe bloating—his belly swollen like a water balloon. He cries and strains each time he tries to use the litter box and is beginning to show signs of early prolapse. Though he’s had one round of dewormer, he likely still carries a heavy load of parasites—and is dealing with something more serious stemming from early malnutrition / infection. It could be something else entirely, possibly even more serious than I presume.

Most concerning to me, he’s started eating less. He should be finishing at least two cans of kitten food a day, but now he’s barely getting through one. For a growing kitten he should have a ravenous appetite but he doesn’t, that’s a huge red flag. Without a proper veterinary exam, I don’t know exactly what’s wrong—or what treatment he truly needs. The local Humane Societies are now either booked until August or under quarantine due to a dangerous and contagious feline illness outbreak; they have yet to name the cause. My only option is Mercy Now Vet, which offers an evaluation for $65, not including medication or tests.

What the Funds Will Cover:
• $65 – Initial vet evaluation at Mercy Now Vet
• $40–$80 – Medications
(antibiotics, dewormer, probiotics, anything else needed)
• $80–$200 – Follow-up testing
(possible needed tests include but are not limited to; fecal exam, parasite panel, abdominal tap, x-rays, ELISA test, any other Histopathology if needed)
• $25-$50 – Travel and Gas costs to and from the clinic
• $40–$60 – Kitten nutrition and recovery supplies (formula, high-protein food, etc.)

Any amount, no matter how small, makes a huge difference in giving Thor a chance at a healthy recovery. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign to help us reach more people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and supporting Thor’s journey. I’ll keep this page updated regularly with his progress, test results, and how every donation is being used.

He deserves the chance to grow up and live the happy, healthy life he never got to start with. In your help, I know he can.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Where is Thor being treated?
  • Thor will be seen at Mercy Now Veterinary Clinic, the only clinic currently available near me that accepts walk-ins for low-cost exams. Due to demand and a recent feline outbreak in my area, most clinics are either booked until August or under quarantine.

2. Can I donate another way besides GoFundMe? — I would prefer if it came through the Gofundme. But if you absolutely must donate directly please leave a note “For Thor” so I know, I can accept:
  • CashApp: $XoMazynXo
  • PayPal: @Demonixio420

3. Will you post updates and receipts? — Absolutely. I will post:
  • Vet visit receipts
  • Photos and videos of Thor’s progress
  • Medication lists and invoices
  • Any treatment plans the vet gives me
I believe in full transparency, every dollar will go toward helping Thor recover and thrive.

4. How did you find Thor?
  • I found Thor sick in a semiferal colony hoarded by my friends mother,,, rejected by his own mother too early. He had severe eye infections, struggled to breathe, and had a painfully bloated belly from what I believe to be parasites. I took him in immediately and started care. But now, he needs more help than I can give without a vet.

5. Why is transportation listed in the cost breakdown?
  • I don’t have a car of my own, and Mercy Now Vet is not within walking distance. I’ll need help covering gas for family or Uber fare to get Thor safely to his appointments.

Thank you for reading
