Hi, my name is Nev, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for help.
Yesterday, we noticed that one of the street kittens from a local litter (12 in total!) was very unwell. While he had been eating just fine alongside his siblings the day before, he suddenly stopped accepting any food or water. It was clear something was seriously wrong.
We rushed him to the vet this morning, and the initial exam revealed that he has a high fever and symptoms of cat flu — which can often indicate a more serious underlying issue. The vet gave him an anti-inflammatory shot and took blood samples, and while we’re still waiting for the full results, the partial results already show he is severely malnourished and dehydrated.
The vet told us he’ll need IV fluids, antibiotics, and a stay at the animal hospital and that we should be there tomorrow morning at 9am sharp. The estimated cost for this next round of treatment is £500–£600, not including the £400 we’ve already spent on the first vet visit, medications, and transport.
We rescued this little boy just last night, so we don’t have any insurance to cover the costs. We’ve already done everything we can — we’ve managed to get him to drink 15ml of kitten milk and removed his fleas — but he needs more help than we can provide alone.
We haven’t even given him a name yet, as we’re scared to get too attached while he’s still so fragile… so for now, we just call him Pretty — because he’s sweet, gentle, and truly beautiful.
We would love nothing more than to give Pretty a safe, loving home and a chance at a full life. If you’re able to help us, even the smallest donation would mean the world. Every penny will go directly toward his veterinary care.
Please consider donating or sharing this with others who might be able to help. Let’s give this little street kitten the fighting chance he deserves.
With gratitude,
Nev
