Save this father who risks jail over burial expenses!

Hello, my name is Karolin, and I know Omar. He lives in The Gambia, where he owns a little shop, that helps provide for him, his twins and also his siblings that he cares for. I have followed Omar's story for about a year - as he converted to Christianity and gained so much more confidence. He had enough confidence to start a business, which I ( as a business owner myself) have helped him set up.

In this year, even through lots of challenges, he has learned so much, both business-wise and spiritually. It's been a 180° tranformation.

Like I said, I have followed him through thick and thin - also through his challenges. Like when the mother of his children left. Which was hard. But Omar carried on, something that might have been impossible without his grandmother as support - financially and otherwise.

This is where the need for this story arises ..as Omar's grandmother suddenly fell ill not long ago, was operated on, and died. Sole provider, Omar will need to pay for everything to do with this. From hospital costs to price of burial.

Even with the earnings from his shop, Omar is ill equipped to pay for it all ( 62.000 GMD, Gambian Dalasi = 861 $), due to the suddeness of the event. It isn't much, but it's enough to send him to jail... shall he fail to pay... So far the hospital has extended the deadline for the end of the month ( as he left 1/4 of the money as deposit) with no garantees of extension.

With the suddenness of this hardship, Omar really is left with no options, other than reaching out.
