Save these baby blues.

Ok lets try this again. I cancelled the last one within minutes because, well to put it simply, PRIDE. But a very wise friend who was consoling me the other night put it very simply...Dont lose your eyes over pride. (TYDD)As most of you guys know , I have been battling an eye issue over the past several weeks. Ive been to now 9 eye docs and 2 reg docs all of whom would write me a script for antibiotics and steroids and send me on my way. Things would start looking better and then the smoke and late hours at work would have my eye on fire. I was asked to take a medical leave at work, so now on top of no insurance, I also have no income. The eye infection has progressed to a corneal ulcer and left me looking like a monster, and visually impaired. I am working with a specialist at Marietta Eye Clinic. I have had DAILY doctors appointments over the last 2 weeks and at $115 each visit, my finds are drained. After 12 days of more antibiotics with no improvements, my doc has realized maybe its not bacterial. DUH!!! He put me on an antifungal, which Hassan and Mo graciously paid for because the one bottle of eye drops was $311.85 and if its actually a fungal infection I will have to be on them for several months. Thr problem is, in order to be properly diagnosed, I need to have cultures done at Emory which are $500, and then a treatment called Prokera which is upwards of $2500 to smooth the corneal ulcer which is directly over my pupil, causing vision issues. The reason I have to go to Emory for the cultures is because they seem to be the only place that has the cultue plates for acanthamoeba, as well as fungal, bacterial, and viral. It seems my summer fun doing " WATERFALL WEDNESDAYS" all whilst wearing contacts may have landed me with an Amoeba populace in my right eye. YES LADIES AND GENTS YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY....AMOEBAS IN MY EYE!!! I really want to get this taken care of and get back to work, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..In this the season of giving, if you find it in yoir hearts to help, i promise my smiling eyes will be back!!!Thanks and God Bless.
