200 wild goats were killed last year in mass culls. Part of an ancient Scottish herd shot by landowners.

No one knows the total population size and we don't know how many are left.

Counting the wild goats will help give them a fair deal and a secure future - ensuring every decision is based on facts not assumptions.

Knowing the true size of the herd is the first and important step towards its sustainable future.

We are fundraising £15,000, of which we have already raised 10%, for a professional, independent survey across 50 square miles of open moorland.
