The Westwood Rams football and cheer teams have been a cornerstone of youth football in Toledo, specifically in the Monac and McGregor Elementary School neighborhoods since 1959. Apart of the Washington Junior Football League — the 2nd longest running youth football league in the United States— we’ve been proud to carry on a tradition of teamwork, discipline, and pride for nearly 70 years.
Over the decades, we’ve seen hundreds of young athletes come through our program — some even making it all the way to the NFL. But this program isn’t just about football and cheer. It’s about community, teamwork, and building strong young leaders.
Sadly, we’ve recently hit a major obstacle.
After a city inspection, our beloved home — Westwood Park — has been deemed unsafe to host games or practices on our football field. The repairs required to bring it back up to playable condition are estimated at over $150,000 for tree removal and leveling of the field — a cost that’s simply too high for our small, volunteer-run organization to shoulder alone.
Why We Need Your Help:
We are not backed by a school or any major funding source — we rely entirely on community support, volunteers, and donations. That’s why we’re turning to you.
Your donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward field repairs and improvements, helping ensure our players and cheerleaders have a safe and reliable home field where they can play, grow, and thrive.
Ways You Can Help:

Share – If you can’t give, spreading the word is just as powerful.
Sponsor – We're looking for local businesses or individuals to become team sponsors at any level.
You’ll also see our players and cheerleaders out in the community fundraising — because this fight to save our field is about more than sports. It’s about the kids. And their love for the game, their teammates, and their community's future.
Westwood is our home.
Thank you for helping us keep the Rams running strong.
