'Save the West Side, Chicago' - Earth's Remedies

In 2020, Covid-19 not only wiped out 50% of black-owned businesses nationally but created hardships for families and small businesses; depleting resources, and reducing household income in a way that was unprecedented. This year, we are continuing the ‘Save the Westside, Chicago’ fundraising campaign to support families and small minority businesses on the west-side of Chicago, emphasizing development without displacement.

Our current goal is to reach at least $25,000! Please feel free to donate and/or share! Last year, we fundraised $70,000 for West-Side community resource development. $43,000 was granted to 26 Brown and Black Businesses, which they used as momentary financial assistance for overhead cost, business development, and re-innovating their product/services; the remaining $23,000 was gifted to the community through resource events and financial assistance.

Mission: Earth's Remedies is a hub of developmental resources, connecting disenfranchised communities to FREE educational, financial literacy, career readiness, wellness, and conflict de-escalation resources.

The lack of resources on the Westside of Chicago is the driving force behind our youth’s gravitation towards crime, as a means of financial stability. The unemployment rate, the low housing opportunities, the lack of fresh produce in the community, and the high crime rate became indicators of strategic starvation. E.R. engages our youth, adolescents, families, and elders by connecting the community to developmental, career, and wellness resources.

Thank you for assisting Earth's Remedies; allowing us to become more of what our community needs!
