Hello valued guests, family and friends.
Vivace has professionally serviced the downtown Pleasanton community since 2006, during the course of that time my mother, Denise, and I built a growing business and salon family that has opened our doors to many. Not only have we proudly serviced our guests, we have trained and equipped many stylists with our Associate Educational Program, which has contributed greatly to our industry.
As you may know the salon industry has been hardly hit by the state’s mandates for closure due to the outspread of Covid 19. With positive cases in our county and state rising again, we are now facing a minimum of 4 more weeks of being closed. We have now been forced to close for well over half of this year.
During these very difficult times, our salon has been surviving solely on product sales, gift certificate purchases. However, this income, although greatly appreciated, has not been enough to cover the overhead costs of sustaining our business’ monthly expenses.
We have applied for various business relief assistance programs, most of which were not designed with our industry in mind and we have yet to secure any funds from these programs.
Our landlord has generously allowed us to defer our rent payments during the closure thus far, however this has gone on significantly longer than we both anticipated and rent payments have to start being made.
Although we were allowed to be open from September-Early December, we were only allowed to operated at a fraction of our capacity and while we are grateful we were allowed to open at all, it makes it impossible to cover our business' monthly over head cost on top of the back rent that is now owed.
We are humbly reaching out to our community for help, we understand the personal hardships so many are going through. These are unprecedented times, affecting all families and businesses.
We have tried our best to abide by current regulations and restrictions but with another closure looming, we are in a place we never envisioned with a financial burden that we cannot carry alone.
We are hoping to raise enough funds to cover our accrued overhead and forecasted year-end expenses. This will allow us to continue to keep our doors open, maintain job security for our team and help us get back to doing what we love - giving our guests the very best Vivace experience.
We love you, we miss you and we appreciate you and all of your support!
Xoxo Rachel and the Vivace Family.
