Save the Sugar Jar

Hi, my name is Ronda and I currently own a small bakery with my daughter Lexy in Tucker GA called Sugar Jar.
I’ve had dreams of owning a bakery since I was a child making cakes on my easy bake oven for my siblings and friends. We opened September 2017. A moment that felt like “Dreams do come true”. It hasn’t been an easy journey over the past few years but we’ve worked hard and poured our life savings into the business in order to make it successful.
Our store has become a neighborhood favorite offering delicious treats and a great venue for children’s birthday parties. The smiles of our customers made the journey very rewarding. We have had to close due to the Coronavirus pandemic that is affecting us all. It is destroying businesses and dreams. Please help us SAVE OURS.
I was hesitant about creating this campaign but feel it’s my final resort. I have applied for government grants and loans to no avail. They are being distributed to "big business". Its dreadful to watch your dreams slip away due to no fault of your own.
We have been closed for close to 2 months now and are unsure when it will be safe to reopen. Although the store is currently closed, the bills are still coming in such as rent, electric, taxes, labor , food cost I could go on and on.
We are asking for your help in donating even a dollar to help get us through this struggle we all are facing.
I understand we are all in this together. We would be grateful for anything that you can give.
Thank you for taking time to read our story.
