For generations, the Richard Sale Barn, a National Historic Registry recipient, has been the heartbeat of Acadiana-a sanctuary where music, culture, and community come alive. Named the “2nd Best Place to Listen to Live Music in Acadiana”, this beloved venue has hosted unforgettable moments that resonate far beyond our walls. But now, we need YOUR help to ensure this cherished space continues to thrive,

Structural issues have temporarily silenced the magic of the Barn, forcing us to close our doors. Without immediate repairs, the music, laughter and connection that define the Barn will remain at risk. We cannot let that happen.

This is more than a building. It’s a bridge between the past and the future-a place where the rich French, cowboy and rural traditions of Vermilion Parish and Acadiana are celebrated and preserved. Through the Le Bayou Legendaire Company, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit parent organization, the Barn supports musicians, promotes cultural heritage, and serves as a gathering place for all.

But we can’t do this alone. Fixing the Barn and reopening our doors will take significant resources, and that’s where YOU come in!
