The Ring Amateur Boxing Club has been part of Bracknell’s community since 2013. We are a registered charity, run by volunteers, and for more than a decade we have provided affordable boxing, fitness, discipline, confidence and support for local children, young people and adults.

Our belief has always been simple: boxing is for everyone.

As many of you know, we recently lost our long-standing home in Market Street because of redevelopment. Since then, we have been working hard behind the scenes to secure a new venue so The Ring ABC can continue serving the local community. We are pleased to say that we now have a new home: the former Harmans Water Community Centre in Bracknell. This is a huge step forward, but the building has not been used properly for around 15 years and it needs a lot of work before we can reopen.

Thanks to the generosity of people who have already supported us, we raised around £1,500, which has helped pay for essential early costs including solicitor’s fees, drawings, structural engineering work and surveys. That support helped us get to where we are now: with the building secured and the next stage ready to begin.

Now we need your help again. We have increased our fundraising target to £30,000 so we can start the essential renovation work needed to make the building safe, usable and ready for the community.

The Ring ABC is more than a boxing gym. It is a place where young people build confidence, where people find routine and purpose, where fitness supports mental wellbeing, and where people from all backgrounds can feel part of something positive. As Darren says in the video, boxing clubs like ours help support local people and local kids. They give young people somewhere positive to go, help keep them off the streets, and bring people together.

Bracknell is a great community, and we are asking that community to rally around us now. We are applying for grants and funding wherever we can, and we will keep everyone updated as the work progresses. But to get moving, we need local support.
