SPR Incoming Medical Cases 2021 - This GoFundMe supports our recently transported or incoming new medical cases that need your help! We update this page regularly to include our current medical cases' needs.

Edith
Edith was found with her sister at only a couple weeks old with a head crush injury. While getting in the way of some older dogs eating, her head was crushed by another dog's bite, and she is now suffering from cranial aspect of the left zygomatic arch. In normal non-doctor terms, her skull was crushed and her front tooth went through her eyesocket. She is coming to us with her eye sewn up so it can hopefully be saved, but she will need to undergo multiple operations.

Beanie
Beanie was hit by a car and left lifeless on the street until our wonderful Manitoba partners (K9 Advocates Manitoba) stepped in and seeked proper medical care. Beanie will be coming to SPR with a crushed pelvis and internal bleeding. He will need a femoral head ostectomy as well as proper rehabilitation and will be going to VEC in Toronto with their amazing orthopedic surgeon team! 

Fitzroy
Our boy Fitzroy is currently recovering from a pelvic fracture. We are unaware of Fitzroy's current healing process and will need to get him into our vet to perform proper x-rays and set him up for a successful recovery!

Sea Paws Rescue is a not-for-profit organization that rescues animals both locally & from overseas. Sea Paws Rescue (SPR) is a small passionate team of animal lovers dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned and neglected animals all over the globe. Our goal is to give every animal the medical care, shelter, and love & care they need to ensure their successful integration from our foster homes into our #SPRfurever homes.

We partner with shelters locally in Canada as well as in the Caribbean and the Middle East, for whom we directly assist in facilitating adoptions. We strive to protect these innocent lives from abuse and neglect by educating the community on proper animal care and shedding light on our current issue of extreme animal overpopulation to ultimately reduce pet homelessness.
