Save the Monmouth Ski Club Lodge
The Monmouth Ski Club has owned a home in Pittsford, Vermont for over 50 years. This historic country farmhouse was renovated to sleep over 30 people and has been a comfortable, inexpensive place for people of all ages and interests to enjoy everything that Vermont has to offer. Now, due to travel restrictions put in place during the pandemic, the club is in danger of losing the lodge. The taxes and insurance are due and we have not been able to generate any income during the past nine months. In addition, we have some very necessary repairs that need to be addressed.
A ski club may not seem an important cause during this time of great difficulties, but this home in Vermont serves as far more than just a ski lodge. We have provided an affordable place to stay for a wide variety of guests in all seasons. We have hosted individuals and groups for winter sports, cycling, running, hiking, kayaking, golf, swimming, Spartan racing and triathlons. We have served as a home in the mountains for veterans, Marine Moms, international students and the developmentally and physically challenged participating in the Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sport program. We have been an important contributor to this life changing program, as well as a supporter of the entire community. The loss of this multifunctional facility will be felt by many.
If you've ever visited us, planned to, or can appreciate the community value of this home, PLEASE consider a donation of any amount. We appreciate your support and look forward to hosting many more of you as our guests in Vermont.
Thank you.
