A child’s anxiety eased. A teenager’s pain managed. A baby finally sleeping. These are the quiet miracles happening every week at The Little Acupuncture Room — and right now, we’re at risk of closing our doors.
For the past four years, The Little Acupuncture Room has offered low-cost and free acupuncture to babies, children, and teenagers across Oxfordshire. As a not-for-profit community clinic, we’ve supported hundreds of families — many facing real financial hardship — by making high-quality, paediatric acupuncture care accessible to all.
We’ve partnered with local primary schools to provide completely free acupuncture sessions for children most in need — those experiencing trauma, chronic pain, sleep difficulties, anxiety, and more. And we’ve done it all with a warm, experienced team of paediatric-trained acupuncturists: Rebecca, Fabiana, Deborah, Jess, Mandy, Berenice, and Ania.
Each of us is here because we believe in something simple but powerful:
no child should miss out on care because of their family’s financial situation.
But we’re now facing an urgent funding shortfall. After being turned down for National Lottery support, we are reaching out to our community for help. Without it, we may have to close by the end of this year.
Your donation will directly help us:
❤️ Keep our clinic open and running
❤️ Continue treating the children already in our care
❤️ Expand access to families on waiting lists and future referrals
❤️ Run free treatment programmes in partnership with local schools
❤️ Offer student observation placements to train the next generation of paediatric acupuncturists
We’re asking for your help — not just to save a clinic, but to protect a space that has quietly transformed lives.
If you’re able, please donate today. And if you can’t give right now, you can still help by sharing this page with others who believe in community-based, accessible care for children.
Thank you,
The Little Acupuncture Room team
