The reason we decided to start a gofundme
page is because we have run out of options.
After being denied relief from the state because we are
foreign owned, we took out personal loans
from friends to pay the mortgage and see Recovery Room through
the worst. Now that we have exhausted every resource available,
we are appealing to a larger community: our fellow travelers.
For the past 6 years, Recovery Room has been
the host to daily and nightly cultural events including
Prague Riverside Parties, Clocktower tours,
Concerts, and multiple LGBTQ Comedy events with Gay Agenda.
If we can raise these funds, we can continue to
offer a safe and affordable place for visitors in
Prague for many more years to come. And the
beauty of raising the money this way, is that we
can return it directly. For every donation, we will
credit you with the equivalent in any of our
services. Tours, concert tickets, T-Shirts, and
even drinks. That’s right, if you send us $5 we’ll
have 2 free beers waiting for you next time you
stop by. We want to be here to serve you in the
future but we can’t do it without your help now.
We will see each other on the other side of this,
but we need each other now more than ever.
