John Chapman, known as Johnny Appleseed, lived by and taught the virtues of

o Generosity
o Humility
o Stewardship
o Thrift
o Entrepreneurship, and
o Caring for one’s fellow man.

For a quarter century, The Johnny Appleseed Education Center and Museum has enabled children, community groups, travelers, students, and adults to get to know the real John Chapman- his life and beliefs.

The Education Center and Museum houses the world’s most significant and complete collection of information about Johnny Appleseed.

This extensive research collection is used by historians and scholars.

The Education Center has trained teachers, provided educational materials for classrooms, and published books for children.

For over 20 years, Urbana University housed The Johnny Appleseed Education Center and Museum. Faced with ruinous losses when Covid-19 struck, Urbana University has closed permanently, and with it, The Education Center and Museum.

Now, The Johnny Appleseed Foundation—the 501.c(3) nonprofit organization that owns the Museum collection—is in need of critical funding in order to provide a home for the collection.

This critical funding will enable the museum's artifacts and displays to be preserved and securely and attractively made available to researchers and the public.

Without funding The Johnny Appleseed Education Center and Museum may not be able to reopen!

Your vital assistance is needed. Your gift will help preserve and display a collection that has been gathered and curated over the decades.

Your generous and tax-deductible gift is a gift to all who visit The Johnny Appleseed Museum, and learn and grow from the experience. To date, we have received $10,000 in pledges toward our $250,000 goal!

Thank you for your kindness and generosity. The good work of Johnny Appleseed will continue.

When Urbana University closed, The Johnny Appleseed Education Center and Museum lost its web presence which soon will be reestablished.
