Save the Jacksonville Beaches Cats

Donation protected
Update we're not allowed to feed the cats anymore. They've been relocating around the boat ramp because it's on public property now I've contacted city cancel. They said they denied any feeding going on. We have animals that are sick and I'm trying to save you use any help you can do thank you. This is serious.!

Hi I’m Ali, I was the main caretaker for this Beach Blvd. Boat ramp colony or over 15 years and continue to be the main caretaker for many cats in the beaches area, The government has allowed Windward properties at Beach Marine in Jacksonville Beach, Florida to destroy the habitat of 50+ homeless cats there, many former pets still are and were dumped there.

Now some are relocating while almost all have been taken by trappers without my consent ,so their whereabouts are unknown. This tremendous loss of these beloved cats alone has been has been heart-breaking for us.

Imagine if your pet lost their only home they have ever known and are now hungry with no where to go to find food or fresh water and potentially losing their life trying to and it’s totally unnecessary.

Now starting last week, 3/15/2023 , the situation has gotten even worse for ALL Abandoned Domestic Cats in our County and especially our City of Jax Beach. Now no one is allowed to feed the cats on public property unless you live in the City of Jax where you can only feed with a community cat program permit, one person per one public park and must maintain rules, TNR and monitor health.

Beaches has no such permit to be a part of a cat program, as I called Jax Beaches Parks and Recreation 3/15/23 to ask - they said never heard of such a thing.

The Main Issue is this- Anywhere cats are dumped by restaurants, pet owners, and people that don’t want any cats near them In Duval county who are trying to survive and many relocating from redevelopment or abandoned areas are now possibly starving. Ordinances containing inhumane and conflicting rules just started to be enforced -without notice - that no one can continue to feed or care for cats Unless on private property with permission of owner. IMPT Please SIGN Petition to give to City Council/News Stations here https://petitions.eko.org/p/JaxBeachCatsRight4Care

The Beach Boat Ramp cats referred to initially was a long established well loved and cared for colony that was horribly effected by the Windward /Beach Marina redevelopment. Windward has now clearly stated no feeding on their property and for the cats that were not taken away, there is no where for remaining cats to relocate go to receive proper care -

Which we were told would not happen at last and other City Council meetings concerning this development -Oct/Nov.2022, by both COJB and Windward. See news: https://www.actionnewsjax.com/news/investigates/time-is-ticking-save-dozens-local-cats-jacksonville-beach/OYVO6E6LFFAR5BL6D726XW32Q4/

City wide caretakers have spent their own money to provide food and care are now scared to do anything to help them. Many are suffering PLEASE speak out friends⚔️❤️.!

Why is this important?

If people do not consistently campaign and help care for these loving homeless cats they will continue to undergo catastrophic circumstances. and potential death.
