I am a 55 yr old hard working Grandma who back in March lost my job due to the pandemic.
Browsing Facebook one day, I saw an ice cream truck for sale and decided right then and there that I wanted to start my own business. I officially started my new “Perfect For Me” business, Chill Out Ice Cream Truck on August 1st of this year. Throughout late summer into fall, I have worked hard on building the business and trying to make it as fun as possible for the kids in my community. I have guest ride-alongs (currently a rabbit, a monkey and a dog). The little ones love seeing these furry little critters and interacting with them. It has been doing really well and I have had so much fun seeing the expressions on the little ones faces! The impact on our community has been amazing to see! The screams and yells, joy and laughter have been priceless! Not only has it been good for them during this very trying time, it has been great for me as well!
I was heartbroken this past week when I went to a friend’s annual pumpkin giveaway and the truck would not go into reverse! I was later quoted $2,000 to rebuild/repair the transmission. I have not been in business long enough to get a loan. That’s where I need your help.
Help bring back the nostalgic sound of that community ice cream truck. Help fill the air with the sounds of the childrens’ laughter once again. Let’s keep up the time-honored tradition of serving ice cream to all those children and adults for a very long time.
