Save the Gage County Horses - Again
Tax deductible
Hello, my name is Tanya Martin-Dick and I am a volunteer at Epona Horse Rescue. Last August, 39 starving horses were seized by the Gage County Sherriff, after 17 of their pasture mates had died from starvation. The owner is a licensed and practicing veterinarian.
For the past 6 months, these horses have been fed, watered, given salt, treated for their wounds (from fighting for food), and given love and a safe place to heal at Epona.
The court hearings for these horses has been delayed multiple times. Today we found out that they are being taken to the Palmyra Sale Barn on March 1, to be auctioned off on Saturday March 2nd.
These horses don’t deserve this! They deserve justice! But there are no criminal charges filed and now they face the possibility of ending up in a worse situation than where they came from.
We, the volunteers and horse lovers are raising money to buy back as many horses as we possibly can. Your donation WILL matter!
Thanks in advance for caring and for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me and all the volunteers who have loved these horses back to health.
