Save The Funks

Hello Friends & Family. We never thought we would find ourselves in this position or creating a page like this. Unfortunately on December 21, 2022 my parents suffered a huge and devastating loss to their business. My parents (Jesse & Marisol aka The Funks) shop caught fire and most of their inventory and gear was lost in this fire. What wasn't burned by the fire, was ruined by the water used to put the huge fire out. My parents have done everything they can to make this business successful and to ensure that all their paperwork and insurance was in order. Late in the afternoon my dad received another blow when he was informed that due to a technicality, insurance will not cover this fire and the loss of over $250,00 worth of equipment. The equipment he uses to not only support us but to volunteer his time to friends and family.

If you know my parents, you know that they have done countless events for our schools and our community. Holiday concerts for kids, talent shows, decorating school dances, helping at neighborhood parades, the list is endless. They volunteer their time and talent for everyone, not just family and friends. They have probably helped you decorate your event or DJ'd for very little, probably as a gift because my mom never wants to charge anyone. These are two of the hardest working people on earth. They miss out on all the fun due to work and events but they never complain. They have poured their hearts and souls into this business because it's what they love. Their heart is big and has touched so many.

My mom and dad didn't deserve this, no one does, but for this to happen now during the holidays and to find out that they won't be able to replace this is devastating. We need your help more than ever. My parents have built a strong network, they have worked and blessed countless people and I hope that today you find it in your heart to help us rebuild. Without this equipment our business, our family, will not be able to continue doing what we love and that is to make people dance and happy. Please help me raise these funds to help my Mom and Dad...
