A friend suggested we give it one last push before we close out our campaign. Thank you everyone who has already helped. Here is an update and one last push. Our father and grandfather, James, was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroendocrine cancer 12 weeks ago.   Radiation treatment 5 times a week put a tremendous strain on his body and spirit but he made it through. Starting to see little glimmers of hope amongst the set backs. his tumor is responding to radiation and reducing in size. We aren't out of the woods yet though. We find out next week how agressive the oncologist wants to be wih chemotherapy. We have had 5 more hospital visits for emergency visits in the last 2 weeks. The bills keep piling up. Unfortunately, my personal vehicle and main mode of transportation did not make it through the radiation treatment schedule as well as he has. The battle wagon put up the good fight, but blew up the day after radiation treatment concluded.  We have managed to keep it together, push on because tomorrow is a better day.  We have been helped by friends, mentors and loved ones to get this far.   The financial and emotional burden of his treatment on top of all the other burdens of the last year have stopped me in my tracks.  We need help.  Help with the bills that keep on stacking up. Help with the burdens that keep on coming. Help keeping the lights on, the rent paid and the treatments/medications coming.  It guts me to put my hat out like this. I have always worked for what I have.  I've worked 70 hour weeks for years.   I really have been blessed by great friends and loved ones that got us this far.   I truly believe that 2020 will be a better year, our fundraiser is so close to our goal, help us get across the finish line please. A donation would be great, but a share helps. I can rebuild the Battle Wagon myself, qe just need help with parts. Any littlw bit helps. Thank you and God bless.
