Hi I'm Thom Sears, previously, you've heard from my wife, Lizette Sears. We are trying to start a private dog park so we can share our beautiful country serenity with others. A private recreational area for the safety of you and your pet. Over the years many of you have known me from the music business, and that was many years ago, more recently, from the animal business, horses, camels, horse drawn carriages, rides, zoos, zoo hauling, renaissance , nativity scenes, and lots of church venues, anything with animals. I also ran "The Wilds", the Zaynesvilles safari horse park, horse-back riding tours, just to list of few of the things we've done, my age has crept up on me, I feel I still have some productive years left, I did have a heart attack in 2023 and healed nicely from it. A little older and slower now. From 4 million miles of adventure around the U.S. Jenna, my Doberman and I, traveled the country in the "Black Pearl" and 40 Ft. animal trailer, my freight liner was known everywhere and I knew most people in the animal industry and world. Unfortunately, the heart attack took my CDL stopping my over the road traveling and has limited my ability to working local and on the farm. I hate having to ask for help, but I hear that goes along with getting up in years. Our goal is to still help animals in the fashion we did before, along with animals and their peoples. We are still planning to get the dog park open by this spring and we are planning a private farm experience, whether it be primitive tent or trailer, we are trying to get our 501 C3 back to generate the funds to refurbish the old office/kennel that has fallen into disrepair, we will be helping Luis Fernando Doberman expert trainer in his Doberman rescue on his activities on his U.S.A. tour, we'd also like to add a doggy day care to a select group of participants, anyone knowing me will know this will be a first class operation. Monitory donations help and whatever you can afford, but building materials are needed, manpower, hours donated to help improve the farm. After 20 years our "Home Rescue/ Foster Kennel" desperately needs some rehab! We want to finish this chapter of our lives doing what we've always done. Some rescue ,some fostering, some day care, some helping another rescue that we support. We've been praying on what to do. God has blessed us with a wonderful home and a wonderful sanctuary.

We would like to make our property a place that Luis Fernando Doberman can use , as well as share it with the public and other animals. Luis Fernando will be able to use our sanctuary freely while here in the N.East and Mid West states while conducting his Doberman Training Tours in the U.S.

When the necessary improvements are completed it is intended to be used for multi purposes. The renovations will consist of repainting,spackling,dry wall, painting, remodeling of a bath room,some kitchen remodeling, new flooring and replacing a 20 year old furnace. We also have wood heat to get us through till we complete this task. Money collected from this GFM will be used to purchase these items lumber,dry wall,plaster,spackling,paint,flooring (tile,) PVC pipe, water heater, and a furnace.

This building was up and running in good shape but fell into disrepair during.my illnesses in the 2011-2015 while I was handicapped in a wheel chair. My husband was in The Naples Zoo working for 5 mo. every year. I had the farm and animals to care for. Left unattended and someone broke in the kennel ,which allowed water to do it's damage so we have some major remodeling to do. Luckily My husband can do a lot of it himself. We also have a friend who is a plumber to help with that and furnace issues. We will save and spare money every where we can. During this rough time The good Lord provided us with some helpers to help with things I couldn't do. We also had to cut way back on our rescue numbers.

. I've been wanting to open a doggie day care in the kennel/house. So the kennel can only be finished if this GFM is successful.. That has to be in God's hands because we don't have a plan B yet... We pray also for plan B!

ASAP...To help with fund raising and bills our "SniffSpot" Private Dog Park with no up front money needed will be up and running soon.. That is in very near future.!Only a couple repairs needed to get to get that done. I'm certain it will somewhat slow during winter months. Our property is very serene and beautiful and we'd love to share it with others. This completely fenced acreage will be an ideal dog park to enjoy for everyone. It's use will be donated. to Luis Fernando Doberman. for his group training when he's here in the general vicinity. The Kennel/ Home can also be used for free lodging for Luis during his training tour. A home base to make sure there is less travel for him. And a place to unwind and rest. For him and his buddy Mayweather!

We also will be able to offer primitive camping on our farm for those from the city longing for a," Farm ,Camping Experience"sponsored by Airbnb. With any luck this will become a reality in our long term plans.With survival work shops, live petting farm camping experiences ,many different activities for those who want that type of new experience .

After 35+ years of animal rescue . We never expected to be senior citizens and not be able to earn a living, not having extra steady money coming in. We now find ourselves at a crossroads of how to finish this last part of our lives. We pray God gives us the strength,the necessary funds and the help to get this accomplished.

We been together for 43 years.Best friends , that want to keep helping animals as long as we can. We won't be doing things on as large of a scale,but we can still be of help.

We started a dog rescue back in the 1980's. Our own 501-C3. . Back then private dog/pet rescues were in their infancy. Not many of them around. We took only dogs and horses and did all the work ourselves. Doing anything and everything to help support our huge feed and vet bills . We became pretty well known over the years , at least in our local area and have boxes of letters ,cards and pictures of thanks and referrals from people who adopted from us over the years. It's so heart warming to read them and think back on them. We remember them all. We had two vets and a Judge on our board of directors.We were responsible for our adoptions going as far as writing contracts with the animals adopters ,that were adopting from us. We gave them the option of ,if they ever needed to get rid of said animal they were to bring it back to us.. They could to bring it back to us for a full refund. . We did and had a few come back but most of them stayed where they went . There were a few,so we found more suitable homes for them. Most stayed where we put them because we vetted the people pretty well before we approved them to adopt.We adopted out, over the years, 6,ooo+ dogs and puppies and over 700 horses,and ponies .

We started carriage rides,petting zoo's,nativity scenes, Holiday suited exhibits , Renaissance festivals and booked them all year round to keep money coming in for this costly venture and passion. Out life's passion was saving them from abuse and starvation. Giving as many unwanted or needy pets a chance as humanly possible. Finding good ,loving homes for as many as possible.

Thom my husband was Right there with me funding,promoting,caring and doing all the 24/7 jobs you have, when you house anywhere from 10-35 dogs,and 10- 15 horses at a time. Lots of work and money!

I'm 2008 I started getting back problems from all the hard work. After ending up in a wheel chair,they said I'd need a total spinal fusion. They said inmate ever walk again! I was scared! But God works miracles because.eventually I got new hips and pulled myself up on my horse and regained my core muscles without the debilitating surgeries . Praise God!

Things went well for awhile but Thom's health issues came later than mine. He's had 5 major surgeries since 2023. The heart attack was the last one and he was off work for a year and a half !This unlike the other surgeries , this one took his profession and ability to work like he used to. He's always driven a semi , hauling things. His own semi and livestock trailer. He hauled everything ! After the operation ,They took his CDL! After hauling animals for zoo's for years , hauling horses for our carriage rides ,the Renaissance festival, and many other trucking jobs ,here we are jobless and without means if income... Needless he was very upset with losing what he knows best. He even donated trucking ,food and services for Hurricane Katrina and several other natural disasters through the years. He loved his job! When one door closes,another one opens!

God's guiding light brought Luis to us to help me with my Dobermans. He came and stayed with us and gave us some ideas of how to utilize your home and it's land to help keep us here. No one want to leave their long time home.Now with all that behind us we are going to turn to the second thing we know how to do best!. Our health is getting much better. We can both do most anything. Not as fast or as long as we used to. But we're tough old birds! Going back to helping with and contributing to animal related things ,we can do here in our farm, That we have called home for the last, 26 years .in January. Many good memories here!

With property taxes and insurance so high. The cost of living,food, medicines, propane,gas,electric etc we can't make it on just S.S. We need some money extra to off set these expenses. This GFM is hopefully to keep us being productive members of society ,we just need a little help getting on our feet.under us after all the operations. We might be older but we're still capable of contributing. We also love to work!

All the money will go to keeping the farm,the animal rescue,the private Dog Park,the Doggie Day Care, the camping if we can get it open and of course help our friend with Doberman 101, and the 501,c3 Doberman Rescue and anything else we can do to help Luis and his mission.
