For My Friend Albert Ramirez
Donation protected
This is for my dear friend, Albert Ramirez.
During this pandemic, Albert has been diagnosed with cancer. As he waited to begin his first treatment, the doctors discovered that the cancer had spread to his bones. He had to admit himself to the West LA Veteran's Hospital ER because the pain was unbearable. Originally, his stay was to be one night only but after testing, they found the cancer had spread, and he needed immediate treatment.
Many of you know Albert through photo shoots, Halloween groups, Renaissance Faires, Day of the Dead events, etc. Others know Albert through schools he attended, family, and friends. He loves to add lots of energy to whatever he does, and enjoys the spotlight! This is not the type of attention he ever thought he'd need. Please help give back to someone who added some excitement, laughter, and fun to your life.
The VA wanted to keep Albert for a week, but the medical expenses are starting to stack up. He is doing his best to continue working while undergoing treatment, but soon he will not be able to work. Without an income, he faces losing his home. His option right now is to move out and rent his home so that he can pay his medical bills.
VA disability can only cover part of his doctor visits, treatments, and medications. In order to make ends meet, he will rent out his house; however, the home needs substantial repairs to have it ready for occupancy: including electrical, plumbing work, paint, etc. Albert needs help to cover the cost of his medical expenses and repairs to his home. He’s asking for help in any way possible; whether its monetary or donating time to help him out with his home (Even a couple gallons of paint would be greatly appreciated).
